Capone-N-Noreaga No Longer On Hiatus, Recording Next Album

Capone-N-Noreaga are back together and promise to be in the studio next week, contrary to the Twitter reports of disbanding in 2011, as the duo tells Sway Calloway.

Veteran Queens, New York duo Capone-N-Noreaga stated that they would be going on hiatus in mid-2011, following the War Report 2 album a year earlier. At the time, N.O.R.E. took to Twitter to confirm that CNN would record no more, and asked, “Doesn’t it hurt to watch a boxer still box when he’s heart isn’t in it that’s what the group feels like right now.” At the time, it was unclear whether or not he was talking about himself or his rhyme partner.

Havoc – 13 Release Date & Cover Art

Havoc has been in the studio, as Mobb Deep is still technically on hiatus, and is now preparing to release his third studio album.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, the Queensbridge rapper announced that May 7th is the date his album 13 will be released. Havoc released the first single from the album last month when he dropped “Tell Me To My Face” featuring Royce Da 5’9. He also dropped the track “Separated (Real From The Fake)” last August, an intended diss at his Mobb Deep affiliate Prodigy.

MQ “MQISM” Exhibition at Art Primo; Opening Photos

MQ, the prolific two letter bombing legend, has been branching out recently. His two-letter throwups have occupied the streets for 20 years but lately he’s focusing more on a variety of unique stickers and zines. And after two succesfull art shows in Japan it’s now San Francisco’s turn to be treated with an MQ exhibition.

Over the weekend, Art Primo in San Francisco hosted an exhibition entitled “MQISM” featuring a variety of mixed media work from MQ. Out of all the work in the show, the most memorable is the MQ tiled flooring; we want some for our kitchen!
