Madball’s explosive new video for the song “The Beast” premiered today! Taken from their latest ep “Rebellion”. The video, filmed in Badalona, Spain while on tour with Portugal’s Devil In Me, utilizes gritty backdrops and shots of the New York hardcore legends’ crushing stage performance.

Watch the video for “The Beast” below:

Addressing the video’s guerilla style of filming (part of it apparently even taking place in the back of a moving vehicle), Madball frontman Freddy Cricien says, “In my opinion, those are the most fun videos to do, sometimes on the fly! You have to be creative both while you’re filming and during the editing process. Pedro did a fine job! I chimed in with him about the direction of the vid and some back drop ideas, but I let him run with the directing aspect.”

“The Beast” is “essentially about anxiety and I think the video captures that vibe very well,” explains Cricien. “Hopefully people will enjoy it, even though the topic for some is… quite serious.”

“The Beast” served as the first single off of Madball’s latest EP, Rebellion, released digitally this summer via Cricien’s own The Black N Blue Label. Produced in St. Petersburg, FL by Eric Rutan (Hate Eternal, Morbid Angel, Agnostic Front), the six track EP includes four brand new songs that live up to Madball’s long and treasured catalog.

Rebellion also includes re-recorded versions of two classic Madball tracks, “Get Out” and “It’s My Life,” originally recorded for Madball’s first album Ball Of Destruction in 1988 (when Cricien was all of twelve years old!).

Rebellion can be purchased via iTunes.
